The management of Shri Hirji Bhojraj& Sons Cutchi Visha Oswal Jain Chhatralaya mooted the idea of setting up a top of the line English medium school in 1995. They accepted that the contemporary generation was in search of high quality education as well as fluency in spoken and written English, for its children. To house these ambitious plans, a new building would need to replace the old one. Fund raising proved no barrier as the progressive ideas of the management enthused members and ex-boarders alike, and the first phase of building began in 1996
Shishuvan came into existence in June 2001 with the combined efforts of a small team consisting of the chairperson of the English medium school committee, the school consultant, head of department pre-primary and four pre-primary teachers. After 5 months of intensive teacher training and completion of the interiors, the school formally opened for its students in October 2001 with 70 students joining Playschool and Nursery.
It was decided that Shishuvan would add one standard every year. The current student’s strength of school is 1700+ students in 13 classes from Nursery to Std XII. The school’s teaching and non-teaching staff total 165+ people.
The ISC (Indian School Certificate) is the senior secondary / junior college programme that we offer at Shishuvan English Medium School in Classes XI & XII that is affiliated to CISCE (Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations)
AFFILIATION: As a school affiliated to the ICSE Board, Shishuvan Follows the Norms Set by Council for Indian school Certificate examinations (CISCE). The school is a member of the Association of ICSE schools in Maharashtra (AISM).

We have so many innovators hidden who are capable of inventing great creations but are unable to execute them. Also, so many people have the finest innovative and creative ideas but they lack hands-on support to achieve the same.
Many a time the person who has a great idea won’t
have the skill to do the same and the person having excellent skills won’t be able to give great
innovative ideas, but if we combine these two kinds of people and put them in a makerspace, they can
create so much exploration and opportunity for many and themselves, and hence the management of Shri
Hirji Bhojraj& Sons Cutchi Visha Oswal Jain Chhatralaya has decided to start Makerspace (incubation
centre) for Shishuvan school students, Boarders and KVO community.
Makerspace
is a collaborative workspace where everyone has an opportunity to gain practical hands-on experience
with new technologies, and innovative and creative processes to design and build projects. It
provides a flexible environment where learning is made physical by applying science, technology,
maths, and creativity to build innovative projects and get ideas into reality.
It provides sharing the knowledge and experience from co-makers of the space as well as from those who have already worked on similar projects and at Makerspace, efforts will be made to make available resources and the needs of the students/makers/researchers who use it. To begin with, physical space with the appropriate infrastructure will be provided with all possible modern tools and equipment.
